GOP Sen. Kennedy Suspicious Of FBI’s Information Following New Orleans Attack

Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana expressed distrust over the FBI’s handling of the recent terrorist attack in New Orleans that killed 15 people. The attacker, 42-year-old Shamsud Din Jabbar, rammed a truck into a crowd and opened fire before being killed by police. Kennedy criticized the lack of information, saying he would continue pressing for answers.

President Biden condemned the attack and offered condolences. The FBI initially withheld labeling it as terrorism but later confirmed it was investigating as such. The attacker, an Army veteran, had posted extremist content online and was found with ISIS-related items and explosives.
