GREAT TRAGEDY THIS MORNING: Plane crash in Kazakhstan causes fear of many victims

Following the fall of a passenger plane in Kazakhstan, which was traveling from Baku to Grozny with 72 people on board, details have emerged about the possible cause of the accident. As reported by the Azerbaijani media, the plane collided with a flock of birds.

Subsequently, the plane was reported to have been diverted to Majachkalá airport due to dense fog, but the accident occurred just three kilometers from Aktau airport.

According to preliminary information, the number of survivors exceeds 10. The first wounded have already been transferred to the hospital.

Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Süleymanlı, stated that for now “cannot say anything with certainty ”.
